The Farmers Bank is proud to introduce the S.A.L.T. Award, a new recognition honoring employees who exemplify the bank’s core values of Service, Action, Leadership, and Teamwork. This award was created to celebrate individuals who go above and beyond their job responsibilities to make a meaningful impact on customers, coworkers, and the communities The Farmers Bank serves.
The inaugural S.A.L.T. Award has been presented to Waylon Lamberth, whose dedication, reliability, and genuine commitment to helping others set a powerful example for the entire organization.

Service at the Center of Everything
Waylon was nominated for his commitment to service, both professionally and personally. According to nominator Tim Tomlinson, Waylon’s approach to service is second to none. Particularly in his support of the bank’s network, users, and IT department.
“Waylon’s unrelenting service to the welfare of the bank’s network, its users, and the IT department are second to none,” Tomlinson shared. “His positive attitude, knowledge, and determination to solve issues make him a pleasure to work alongside and help keep things running smoothly.”
Whether during normal business hours or late in the evening, Waylon consistently steps up to ensure systems are working and people are supported. His dependability has helped minimize disruptions and maintain a seamless experience across all branches.

Action When It Matters Most
One standout example of Waylon’s impact occurred during a late-night emergency involving a premises alarm at one of the bank’s buildings. After being alerted around midnight, Waylon immediately attempted to resolve the issue remotely. When that wasn’t possible, he acted and drove to the location to investigate firsthand.
Armed with only a flashlight and determination, Waylon carefully checked each room to uncover the cause. He ultimately discovered a faulty breaker stuck between “off” and “on,” which had knocked out power. After restoring electricity and ensuring all systems rebooted correctly, Waylon stayed until everything was fully operational.
By morning, employees across all branches arrived to working computers and equipment, unaware of the overnight issue that had been resolved behind the scenes.
“Even though it was a late-night, sleep-deprived adventure, we still had some laughs,” Tomlinson noted. “We really appreciated how he stuck with it until the issue was resolved.”
Leadership Through Example
Waylon’s leadership isn’t defined by a title, it’s demonstrated through consistent action, humility, and care for others. His influence raises the bar for those around him, motivating coworkers to bring their best selves to work each day.
“He’s friendly, trustworthy, knowledgeable, and humble,” Tomlinson said. “Waylon positively influences people around him by his daily actions. And he has a great sense of humor, too.”
This leadership extends well beyond the workplace. As a neighbor and member of the community, Waylon is known for offering help without hesitation, whether that’s lending a hand, sharing equipment, or checking in on others during difficult times, including a recent multi-day power outage.
A Standard for the Future
As the first recipient of the Farmers Bank S.A.L.T. Award, Waylon Lamberth sets a meaningful precedent for what this honor represents. His commitment to service, readiness to act, quiet leadership, and team-first mindset reflect the values The Farmers Bank strives to live out every day.
The S.A.L.T. Award was created to recognize individuals exactly like Waylon. Those who consistently live the bank’s values and make The Farmers Bank a better place because of it.
Congratulations to Waylon Lamberth on this well-deserved recognition and thank you for exemplifying the true meaning behind The Farmers Bank S.A.L.T. Award values!
