At The Farmers Bank, our S.A.L.T. Awards recognize team members who exemplify our core values of Service, Action, Leadership, and Teamwork. We are proud to recognize Shelia Luckado for her outstanding commitment to Service and the positive impact she has on everyone around her.

Shelia is the very definition of servant leadership. As a Senior Lending Assistant, she manages a demanding workload while also serving as a trainer and trusted resource for lending assistants across the bank. It is common to hear Shelia patiently answering questions, offering guidance, and supporting teammates with kindness and professionalism. No matter how busy her day may be, she always makes time to help others.

Genuine Care for All

One of Shelia’s greatest strengths is her ability to listen. Whether a customer needs help, a coworker is facing a challenge, or someone simply needs encouragement, Shelia is there with a listening ear and thoughtful advice. Her genuine care for others creates an environment where people feel valued, supported, and heard.

A recent example of Shelia’s commitment to service and teamwork was during the Strawberry Festival. On her own initiative, she organized a team “Strawberry Festival Fun Day,” creating bingo cards for employees to enjoy throughout the day and providing prizes for winners of each round. This event brought coworkers together, boosted morale, and added an extra dose of fun to the workplace. Shelia often goes above and beyond in similar ways, organizing activities for holidays such as Valentine’s Day and Cinco de Mayo, and even treating the team to homemade breakfasts. These efforts are never prompted; they are simply a reflection of her desire to make the workplace a more enjoyable and connected environment.

While Shelia was nominated for Service, her actions also demonstrate Leadership and Teamwork. She takes the initiative to foster positive relationships, build camaraderie, and create meaningful experiences for her coworkers. Her influence extends far beyond her day-to-day responsibilities, helping strengthen the culture of The Farmers Bank.

Perhaps the greatest testament to Shelia’s impact is the consistent praise she receives from her colleagues. During one-on-one meetings, team members regularly mention Shelia as someone who has positively influenced their lives and work experiences. Her encouragement, compassion, and willingness to help leave a lasting impression on those around her.
